10.00 – 11.00 Shaolin Tai Chi Essence warm up exercises and standing posture
11.00 – 12.30 Learning the Tai Chi form
This course focuses the essence of Tai Chi as well as a short form which can be trained along with any other exercise program or martial art. We develop strong structure and learn how to move gently and can also be applied at speed for a more dynamic approach. Working on the principle of opposites, hard/soft, push/pull. This can often be applied to ease strain from manual labour, office work, etc.
12.30 – 2.00 Lunch
2.00 – 3.30 Pushing hands and applications
3.30 – 4.00 Break
4.00 – 5.00 Meditation and review
Taught by Colin Dempsey, qualified instructor and Shaolin laymonk.
A basic level of fitness is required for this weekend.
Saturday only €55, Full weekend €110, pre-payment required.
